                             THIS IS A NEPALI  SAMOSA



I have a some recipe to cook this samosa they are as follow:

1) 2 cup all-purpose flour.
2) 1/2 cup melted butter.
3) 1 cup chilled yogurt
4) salt and pepper.
5) oil for deep frying.
6) cold water

filling:
1) 2 cup diced potatoes, boiled and roughly mashed.
2) 1/2 cup green peas.
3) 1/2 cup diced carrots, boiled
4) 1/2 onion, finely chopped
5) 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
6) 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
7) 3 fresh red chilies, julienned
8) 1 tablespoon curry powder
9) 1 tablespoon lemon juice
10) 3 tablespoon cooking oil
11) salt and pepper
12) 2 tablespoon chopped cilantro

Direction:

  • In a non-stick saute pan, heat oil.
  • Add onion and fry until lightly browned.
  • Add garlic, ginger,chili and curry powder: fry for a minute.
  • Add mashed potatoes, green peas and dised carrots followed by lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, melted butter,chilled yogurt and salt: crumble up thoroughly.
  • take a dough ball and roll out into 3-inch paper-thin circles.
  • with a sharp knife dissext the circles in the middle to form two semi-circles.
  • take one semi circle,apply water along the straight rim.
  • make a small cone by sealing the overlapping seams.
  • put a tablespoon of the filling mixture into the cone and press down the cone.
  • close in the edges at the center.
  • repeat with the other balls.
  • deep-fry samosas until golden brown.
  • at the last you can eat how much you like .
